  Redundancy

Overview     How does it work?

  How does it work?

  • There is a two server requirement in order to make a Softswitch redundant.  The first server acts as the primary server, the other as the secondary server.  The secondary server continuously retrieves the latest settings and database changes from the primary server and automatically updates itself.

If the primary server goes down, the secondary server will automatically detect the issue, launch the database and act as the primary server ~ in less than a minute.  Once the primary server is back up and running, the secondary server will automatically update the primary server and shut itself down.

With a redundant system, clients can be assured that their business will avoid the impact of issues such as power outages or natural disasters.
